As already stated, all works are hand painted and take time to produce, especially the finer ones. The viewer will observe Catalogue numbers by each piece;(but not all) this corresponds to my home catalogue of paintings: the ones still in my possession. Numbers that appear missing may have been sold or moved on in the past etc.
Works are framed and ready to hang unless otherwise stated, and they are signed.
Will ship works overseas.
Thank you, any questions don't hesitate to phone me on 02392 713343 (Mark, the Painter).
NOTE: I'm particularly interested if there's anyone in the London region willing to showcase a selection of my work.

CHICHESTER CATHEDRAL.
painted in 1995
Cat: No 1.

Descript: Chichester Cathedral was an ambitious attempt at a large canvas oil at the time. Totally cost effective in the way that the materials were entirely made by me. The canvas stretcher was made from baton from when the council renovated the housing estate roofs, the canvas itself was made from 'builders dust sheet linen' and grounded undercoated, on all sides with my special mixture. Some of the earthy pigments I ground and made myself. I still own the painting after 12 years, and apart from the normal time weathering, the pigments remain intact without a single crack.
Size of original Oil on Canvas: 3ft X 4ft.

ARUNDEL CASTLE

s; 23" X 18", fine art piece.
Descript: I loved painting this one. Painted on grounded wood panel ; with a complete palette troweled sky. I then proceeded to work my way to the foreground slowly with a fine brush. Pigmented glaze medium was used to detail in the areas. Paying attention at all times to the atmosphere and hues of the day. At this size, this painting took in all total three weeks to produce. Remembering that oils can take up to six months or more to dry fully.
Framed in wide dark wood, gold inset. Signed and ready to hang.

LEIGH PARK HOUSE.
Cat: No 26

S;20" X 30", stretch canvas.
History of the House.
The original house was demolished in the early 1860's by William Stone. It was the original house (not the one you view here) that is best remembered as the home of Sir George Thomas Staunton. The painting depicts the second house to be built in that location in 1863 but was completed in the year of 1865. Designed by architect Richard William Drew whose designs were used for a number of other buildings in the Havant area including the Havant Town Hall built in 1868 and St.Faiths Church where he carried out work on the tower and chancel.
The new Leigh Park house cost in the region of 20,000 pounds to build with the clay bricks and tiles kilned and made on site. Again this exceptional building was demolished in the 1950's after a fire had destroyed it.
SOLD
Viewer Note:- This painting will show at Staunton Country park in due course. It will go through an unveiling I am told by the management, along with the rest of my works: I will keep viewers updated on the exhibition dates as soon as I recieve more information.

LANGSTONE year painted 1996
Cat: No 27

S: 36" X 30", signed.
Descript: The production of this painting was the same as in the 'Chichester Cathedral' painting as concerns the canvas stretcher etc. The frame I made from strips of pine log with it's bark intact and then I wood stained the wood. I wanted to capture the overcast day in this painting, our skies aren't always sunny are they.
