1) A selection of works (4) now on show at Jim's Barber shop, 7-9 South street, Havant. From Saturday April 26th onward until end of May 2008. Four works; Irises, Warblington Church, Langstone looking West and The Swan. Works are for sale, and you can also find commission details there, ask Jim the proprietor for more info.
2) Exhibition of work(s) to show at Staunton Country Park:(still on the agenda) Dates to be arranged: watch this space. 'Leigh Park House' oil painting already at the Venue on display: ask the staff at Staunton for it's whereabouts for your observation. ALSO, to show here will be all of my current collection (or most of them) and 'The Gothic Library', and 'Leigh Park Gardens Lake (2)'.
I am told by the education officer at Staunton Country Park that they are awaiting their marketing department to organise things before they forward to me more info on the exhibition of my works there. The Leigh Park house painting will undergoe an unveiling. Also, although I would like to offer a percentage of sales (if any) direct to Staunton establishement, I would also like to arrange a small percentage to go to my chosen charity The British Heart Foundation. If this can be organised from the event. More details will follow as I get them...
2008, fixtures. The usual local exhibitions and venues; more work to be done in London also. Study the architecture and City life of London for possible oil. I'd like to try and get to the Royal Institute of Oil painters sometime this year too. As well as the Royal Academy as long as the blasted Trains don't keep going on strike.
PREVIOUS EXHIBITIONS.
People have to remember that I have been painting a long time, some of the dates of previous showings may be vague in my mind.
a) Havant museum center of Arts open exhibition, about 20 years ago where I exhibited the oil painting 'Langstone frozen over in 1906'. (I may be able to retrieve this piece for the August exhibition).
b) Sothebys open Art exhibition about the same period.
c) Chichester Art society, forwarded three pieces here many moons ago.
d) No 10 Cafe, Havant.
e) Gardners Gallery, Havant. (no longer there) Gardners showed a few of my works back then, bless em.
f) The Black Dog public house, many moons ago too.
g) The Wheelwrights public house, Havant. Thanks Steve & Jan.
h) The Oxmarket Gallery, Chichester. I'm due to rebook with them actually, more works I hope will show there in the future.
i) Trentham Pictures and frames, Havant. Always a couple of mine in there.
j) Pens Place, Petersfield. about three years ago.
k) Queen Alexander Hospital, Cosham. (Thanks Anne & members of the Fareham art society).
l) Chichester council building with the Rowlands Castle painting Society. Thanks to those good people too.
m) By commission. Works are up at: The Haven Retirement Home in Cosham, The Barn, Scratchface lane, Cowplain, Horndean, Quite a few in Leigh Park and it's outskirts. West Leigh. I have works in Leicestershire, London and overseas.
n) Havant at 11, The Pallant. Solo exhibition with PV. August/September 2007. Good results, interesting and friendly people, work gained admiration. And the best sale result was the Staunton House oil being obtained specifically for showing at Staunton Country park; more details to follow on this topic.
The overseas works are mainly drawings.
Previous invites include The Agora Gallery in New York. The Groupo Batik gallery in Barcelona. But before I go over there my work and study will continue in London and locally.
