Painters sometimes diversify, in fact this has happened throughout the centuries; nowadays, sculpture is not always the chosen subject to diversify to.

Chaldecott Gallery brings to the viewer an insight into the Art of oil painting, a practice and study that has spanned twenty-one years at a home location. I started drawing very early; and the passion for observing things with the eye slowly grew into wielding a brush with the medium of the oil at about eighteen years of age. What you see in this website is the culmination of work up to now. Art has taught me many things. Being able to see the whole picture before it has manifested is one. Art gives you clear sight on things and teaches a whole array of technical skills that can be put into other media with relative ease. It makes the mind malleable to change.

Recently I have diversified my art to other media. It is not unknown for painters to diversify; in days of old it was toward sculpture nowadays it could be anything.

My current collection of original oils spans to thirty or so paintings: I have painted many more than this over time with most of them already gone into the world beyond my possession. To diversify to tattoo and body art requires special arrangement and technical skill, the appealing factors here are many. I have included my recent tattoo work alongside my oil work; because after all it is an art. A craft. I have also been known to engrave motorcycles, beer glasses and windows. Not to mention Murals, airbrush work and embroidery. There are many different media I can and have wielded my hand and my eye and my heart to.
